Flora Farms passes commencement

The first purpose-built grow facility in Missouri begins operations

Cannabis cultivator, Flora Farms has been approved to begin operations of their 55,000 sq. ft. grow facility just outside of Humansville, Missouri. The Department of Health and Senior Services granted commencement approval on Wednesday which makes them Missouri’s 6th cultivation facility to begin cultivating medical marijuana.

“We’re very proud of all the time and effort that went into getting this facility up and running. We couldn’t have done it without our great staff, our amazing construction partners, and the guidance of the Department of Health and Senior Services” says Mark Hendren, Chief Operating Officer at Flora Farms. “We’d like to take a moment to celebrate, but now the real work begins.”

Flora Farms’ grow facility outside of Humansville is the first operation in Missouri to be built from the ground up for the specific purpose of growing medical cannabis. It currently has the capacity for 30,000 square feet of flowering canopy and will double in size early next year.

“I’ve waited a long time for this,” says Mark Buddemeryer, Director of Cultivation at Flora Farms. “Now it’s time to show the state of Missouri what we can do.”
