First lawsuit filed against scoring company

First lawsuit filed against scoring company

The first lawsuit against Wise Health Solutions, the state-chosen facility application scorer, was filed on Friday.

Wise Health Solutions is a Missouri-based venture between Dallas-based Veracious Investigative & Compliance Solutions International, and California-based Oaksterdam University. The venture bid and was awarded on a contract to rank and score Missouri medical marijuana facility applications in the second round of bidding.

There were no bids in the first round for the contract. Wise Health was incorporated in Missouri ahead of placing its bid.

The suit was filed by GMT Consulting, a St. Charles-based company registered to Tobias Licker, applied for four dispensary licenses, one each in St. Louis City, St. Louis, Webster Groves, and Pacific.

Alleging two counts, one of tortious interference with a business expectancy and a second for civil conspiracy, the suit points to Oaksterdam’s involvement in a 2019 applicant boot camp in St. Louis.

It is uncertain if any of those who attended the boot camp were awarded a facility license or if those who attended received preferential treatment as the suit suggests.

According to court documents, Wise Health Solutions is registered in Springfield, Missouri; Oaksterdam is located in Oakland, California; Veracious is based out of Houston, Texas.

Summons are being issued to the suit parties. No hearings have been scheduled yet.
