“The Future of Missouri Cannabis” Addresses the Probability of a Legal Missouri Adult-Use Market

The producer of Blaze, an upcoming cannabis product show in St. Louis, has announced that Lyndall Fraker, Medical Marijuana Division Director with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), will serve as the expo’s keynote speaker. Fraker is scheduled to forecast and field questions about the state’s adult-use marijuana program, due to the probability Missouri voters will be asked to vote on legalizing adult-use marijuana this fall. Fraker will anchor a keynote panel discussion that includes John Payne, Legal Missouri 2022 campaign manager, and Amy Moore, DHSS Medical Marijuana Deputy Director and Counsel. The Blaze keynote address, “The Future of Missouri Cannabis,” will be held Friday, June 3, 1:30 p.m. in Union Station’s Midway West Ballroom.

“It’s time to kickstart planning and collaboration on the next phase of providing legal cannabis to Missourians, and I am proud that we could make Blaze the place and time for that conversation to heat up,” said Karin Chester, Imaginarium Enterprises Founder and CEO. “I’ve always presented thought leaders, experts and officials at Missouri’s annual cannabis expo, and it’s a privilege to showcase DHSS and the adult-use conversation at Blaze this year.” Chester’s company Imaginarium Enterprises, has produced the state’s annual cannabis expo for four consecutive years. It also produces a Missouri medical cannabis edutainment series for medical dispensary personnel.

Recently Legal Missouri 2022 submitted more than double the required number of valid signatures for its constitutional amendment to make the ballot, Chester explained. The Missouri Secretary of State will validate the submissions to determine enough voter signatures were secured to place the initiative for the November ballot. 171,592 of the 385,000 signatures submitted must be valid in order to put the issue before the voters, she noted.
